G-STAR RAW AW2013 Collection

G-Star RAW AW2013 collection denim look for women is all about playing with different volumes. G-Star combines a beyond skinny denim with oversized jackets in deep blue colours. Inspired by Toile de Chine, a fabric that pre-dates denim, RAW Mazarine is the ultimate double dyed blue of G-Star. The key colour can be found throughout the entire G-Star collection. Of the RAW Mazarine collection both the warp and the weft of the fabric are indigo double dyed. Wear it dark on dark for a sophisticated denim look. The women’s range features the Hunter 5620 Overcoat in Fray Moleskin, a crisp and robust looking 3x1 left hand twill in this distinct blue with a soft handfeel. This deep red casted indigo combines a slightly lighter blue weft and a darker warp. 

The G-Star look for men features a broad range of styles in different shades of intense dark indigo. Denim highlight is the Type-C denim with its modern loose fit. This 3D denim is partly inspired by late 1940s US Servicemen, whose pants had a tapered fit and worn-in knees. The contemporary 3301 Low Tapered comes in Mazarine RAW, a red listing quality with a herringbone construction. It has a deeply saturated blue black base with a weft that is black yarn dyed and the warp is indigo with sulphur black on top. The combination of the saturated blue black colour and the herringbone construction give this exclusive denim very contemporary edge. In addition the Arc jacket also features this dark Mazarine colour yet in a canvas construction.

 G-Star continues the evolution of 3D denim and introduces new fits for men, the Type-C pant and A-Crotch. The Type-C features a 3D bowleg silhouette and an extremely loose top block with a low crotch construction, inspired by vintage workwear pants. G-Star also introduces a new A-Crotch. The panel inserted on the inside of the leg creates a 3D silhouette, which is further articulated by the horizontal seam (a dart) on the inside leg panel. The A-Crotch also features distinct details including the exaggerated pockets, and the A-shaped artwork on the back pockets.  Combine the Type C with dark blue tops like the quilted blazer or RAW Essentials Pea Coat.

Inspired by the G-Star Elwood, the first 3D denim design, G-Star includes this season the Hunter program. The range features a complete range of denims, all identified by the flap-pocket detail. The Hunter 5620 3D Low Tapered features G-Star Elwood detailing, such as the butt-pad, while the Hunter Slim Blazer and Hunter Bomber Jacket have a clean look with minimal detailing, directing all attention to the flap-pockets. RAW Essentials is the ultimate proof of G-Star denim craftsmanship. The collection features the most innovative denim fabrics, techniques and washings. Key colour in the RAW Essentials collection is RAW Mazarine, a deep and dark blue colour is inspired by Toile de Chine, a fabric that pre-dates denim. Wear it with destroyed denim for an unexpected look or wear it chic dark on dark.

The next step in skinny jeans for women: the 3301 Jeg skinny, the newest G-Star skinny fit executed in ultimate stretch. A denim jegging executed in ultimatestretch fabric with a waist 6cm smaller than a normal skinny fit. Thanks to the waistband, which is also executed in this fabric, this denim fits perfectly in the waist. Not only does the denim provide the optimal stretch percentage, it also features a very high recovery, which means it returns to its original shape. Thanks to the combination of a special weave and an intelligent fabric mix ultimatestretch denim gives the wearer a second-skin feel and maximises freedom of movement and fit.

G-Star continues the 3D evolution and introduces two new denims for women, the Charlie pant and A-Crotch. The Charlie features a 3D bowleg silhouette and an extremely loose top block with a low crotch construction, the kick cropped further articulates the 3D look. G-Star also introduces the A-Crotch for women; the original A-Crotch for men was introduced in 2000. The panel inserted on the inside of the leg creates a 3D silhouette, which is further articulated by the horizontal seam (a dart) on the inside leg panel. The A-Crotch also features distinct details including the exaggerated pockets, and the A-shaped artwork on the back pockets.
