FURLA AW2013/14 new IT-bag is the perfect blend of elegance and innovation: dual
functionality (hand-held or over-the-shoulder), and clean lines accentuated by
an original feature on the flap: layers of materials, with a panel of soft
matte leather in bright colours, stitched over extra-black brushed leather. A
versatile top-handle, set off beautifully by the blunt-edged conical closure
and the finish of the frame: metal hardware adding shine to a dynamic, unique
bag. Utterly contemporary.
The AW2013/14 collection is a celebration of WINTER,
through a magic looking glass which pictures the FUTURE. BLACK is
the key colour. It’s like a thread, stitching together and harmonising each
form, each nuance, each volume. The
collection plays with layering different materials, glossy with matte, soft
with hard: TOTAL BLACK is reinvented through innovative constructions, such as
the panels stitched onto backgrounds of brushed leather or ultra-shiny patent
leather. Soft furs,
natural materials, neutral, subtle colours envelop a more rarefied atmosphere,
plunging the collection into the splendour of winter in the mountains. The
mystery of the Siberian Tiger, the inspiration for this season’s Animal Print,
reigns supreme among snowy forests and towering rock faces.
Swift and dynamic like a twirl on the ice, the collection is further enriched by the use of bold, sports-inspired colours such as electric blue, fuchsia, bougainvillea and mauve, along with contrasting materials, such as the gloriously soft matte-effect leather combined with glossy, extra-black leather. New for winter 2013 is the major comeback of the BACKPACK, in the form of CANDY, a practical, fun development of the iconic FURLA bag. It’s a potent mix of glamour and innovation, now joined by the new interpretation of the Candy Sunset, featuring bright colours waning into translucent shadow, like some bewitching effect of the twilight hour. In transparent rubber which reflects all the light of a magical sunset at high altitudes, its bright tones fade darker and darker until they become absolute BLACK, and in an instant, the FUTURE is here.
