AIGLE @ AW2013 Collection

AIGLE AW2013 collection takes a modern function-led look at a series of vintage themes. The new collection also celebrate its 160th anniversary and is populated by trophy looks fit for heroes from the season’s trend-inspired eras. The season begins with a focus on lightweight, wadded fabrics in soft hues of old rose, Prussian blue and ecru, alongside shades with a patina of grey, charcoal and taupe.

AIGLE’s new women’s collection is inspired the traditional equestrian spirit. At the starting line of a season which marks AIGLE’s 160th anniversary, the collection is imbibed with light, quilted fabrics that are available in a palette of powder shades. The pink FIRDWAY features a fitted waist, pleated details and adjusted tailoring, a truly cool and chic style for fall. The wadded, water-repellent SUDHAMPTON jacket includes a warm micro fleece lining. With its slim proportions and velvet and leather details the SUDHAMPTON presents an elegant silhouette for the autumn months. This season, Liberty of London revamps its classic peacock pattern and uses it on women’s shirts, wear it with the slim fit pastel long pants similar to riding tights to complete the look with a cool and chic touch.

For women’s footwear, the key takeaway is its durability and flexibility. The leather lining in MONTAIGU provides ultra-comfort. The full grain leather and split leather offers durability. Wearing these boots never felt more at ease, thanks to the elasticated side panels. KINNELL BROGUE was created at the end of the 19th century. In the past, the Brogue specificities were holes placed on the upper to evacuate water out of the shoes. This kind of shoes was worn by farmers in the swamp.  They became really trendy as time goes by. KINNELL BROGUE is made by exquisite craftsmanship and is one of the highlights this season. The men collection enters a retro spirit weaves its way which includes clean-lined jackets, texture rich cardigans and all-weather overcoats alongside a new selection of grand-dad shirts featuring reinforced plastron cutouts, nightshirt-inspired shapes and pinstripe fabrics, giving the collection a British gentlemen twist. The JAKINE jacket is one of the highlighted products this season. The supple, unconstructed jacket is presented in tonal cotton pinstripes and a red contrasting buttonhole, showing the fine details which AIGLE insists on. The GLACIEN cardigan is another stand out, with a round folded collar that gives a subtle minimalism.

To put on a nobleman look, a pair of gentlemen leather shoes is the essential. This season, AIGLE debuts the Brogue Shoes series names DIXON FAMILY. The TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber) outsole is much lighter than normal brogues but much durable and flexible. Applying a leather boot concept into the brogues, it is more comfortable and protective. Different combinations of material are available in the DIXON FAMILY. With a choice of high and low boot, and a rouge coloured shoe laces, men can dress up or dress down easily in any occasions.

Tailored woollen fabrics provide the backdrop for AW2013. A new twist on the SHERPAFIELD jacket introduces a premium woolen option for men, layered with MTD® material that is highly water proof and breathable. Pair it with and a checkered shirt to make the best look out of it. The clean-lined cotton Armycoat with its woven satin sleeves is both waterproof and breathable. For women’s, the timeless Trenchy trench coat is presented in a waterproof and breathable wool blend for the first time. A removable hood is there to ensure protection from autumn’s inclement weather.

For the first time, AIGLE applies the woolen fabric onto the down series. A completely new material is used on women’s CRAPONNE down jacket and men’s RUFFECW. A timeless grey tone is used and the fur-trimmed hood provides extra warmth protection. The new introductions demonstrate AIGLE’s everlasting perseverance in down design technology.
