It is classic, it is fun and it is somehow nostalgic. <The Sapphires> OST features all the music as seen in the film defines a generation. There are numerous classics like <Heard It Through The Grapevine>, <What A Man>, < I'll Take You There>, < I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honet Bunch)> and etc performed by the Jessica Mauboy leading 7 of the 16 tracks. <Gotcha> is an original song written by Mauboy with Louis Schrool and ILan Kidron from the Potbelleez for the film, which draws it's inspiration from the sounds of the 60's. You don't have to watch the movie to enjoy this fabulous movie soundtracks, great vocals arouse untroubled emotions. Personal favorite is the <Sugar Pie Honey Bunch>, you surely would like to sing along by tapping your feet in the melodies reminiscent of the 60's, simply irresistible. <Ngarra Barra Ferra> is a traditional indigenous song in the Yorta Yorta language makes a welcome unanticipated appearance. All the brilliant tunes are truly an enjoyable and delightful, it is no doubt one of the must have albums of the year as it has everything the era could offer in music.
