<Christmas Rose 聖誕玫瑰> marks Charlie Yeung debut directorial movie tacklling the tricky topic of sexual harassment with a strong backbone support from Tsui Hak and Joseph Cheung as well as some great casts: Aaron Kwok, Chang Chen, Gwei Lun-Mei, Xia Yu playing the for lead casts readily to conquer the Hong Kong, Taiwan, China to be their major box office market of reach. The risk was calculated and planned to make a triumphal procession but unfortunately may not has what it takes when the truth was unveiled. Yeung challenged the audiences and herself with this less touch and sensitive topic of sexual harrasment from a flower that frowns in in winter and survives under harsh condition, yet just like her debut silent nod movie title. In this film, Court scenes are the highlight of the movie, with predictable endings make-believe that it was an enlarge version of TVB drama series. The film wasn't even appalling nor shocking and doesn't need to have a further minute of silence to think about the real truth. Korean film <Silenced> did capture the audiences' heart with a more substantial and sensible facts and act of move, it was indeed teary. <Christmas Rose> doesn't really bloom.
