<Jack The Giant Slayer> is rather overwhelmed by the perfunctory CG effects and lacking of the individual story with predictable fluffy script.. Yet, it is still entertaining and enthusiastically acted and fun. The movie tells the story of an ancient war that reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost. Jack (Nicholas Hoult) forced to battle his life to stop them for his kingdom, his people and the love of a brave princess. This innocent fantasy adventure fair tale is a mash up of the old-school heroism and obviously more than just fee-fi-fo-fum from the magic bean but emotionally unmoved.
