etc wine shops celebrate "The Ladies This April with Château Smith Haut Lafitte & Caudalíe" for a month-long promotion with the award-winning wines of Château Smith Haut Lafitte with Caudalíe, a natural beauty brand made from the grapes of the vineyard from the three successful women of Château Smith Haut Lafitte.
With a history dating back to 1365, Châteaux Smith Haut Lafitte is now owned by Daniel and Florence Cathiard. Together with her husband, Florence looks after the day-to-day operations of the winery and prior to that she created her own advertising agency. Following the professional footsteps of their mother, daughters Mathilde and Alice have created brands that are inspired by the grapes that the family grows in the vineyard. 
The eldest, Mathilde Thomas, created Caudalíe in 1995 conceived from the family vineyard. Investing in research for over 17 years, Caudalíe is the first beauty brand to patent stabilized grape polyphenols that fight free radicals; viniferine from grapevine sap which helps diminish dark spots and leaves complexion radiant, and reservatrol-oleyl from vine stalks, the ultimate anti-aging active ingredient. Mathilde continues to develop innovative products that are not only natural but also effective and glamorous. 
Smith Haut Lafitte wines are perfect for the ladies. The 2010 Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc is a fruit-rich driven wine than an oaky one. The nose exhibits fresh and aromatic plumpness with notes of fruits while the palate has a lovely substance with rich complexity. As for reds, the 2007 Smith Haut Lafitte is as impressive as the white one, with aromatics of dark fruits with sweet and lightly perfumed red forest fruit character. The palate is soft and plump, with softly enveloping the tannins and acidity beneath.
