PENNYBLACK SS2013 collection is fresh and effortless, all filled
with colors and prints. Classic beige and blue hues, and special turquoise
details create an updated, minimal aesthetics through boxy, geometrical and
lean shapes, like on the pea coats and overcoats.
A digital
revamping of the 1960s hounds-tooth pattern create an optical extravaganza through
primary colors such as red, black and white on Capri pants, tunic-shirts and
short pinafore dress. An urban interpretation of safari style in khakis, from
beige to military green appear on the tailored pants, the shiny pop blouse, or
the military parka with the block-color dress.
Botanical
prints go for neon hues, with florals converted into a pop-art print on
sundresses, pajama pants and 1950s-style skirts. Tropical prints appear on the
pantsuit and the must-have of the season: the maxi skirt. City mapping prints also turns up on linen. From a blazer to a bomber jacket and a wrap-skirt, the lightest of all summer fabrics are all in pastel colors.
The seventh edition of MAGALOG is also released. The
PENNYBLACK magazine was shot in Montauk at the Hamptons, a most beloved spot by
New York surfers and fashion crowds. Four young friends wear the PENNYBLACK collection on an
imaginative journey, photographed by Jason Kibbler. Street-photographer Tommy
Ton portrays young New York IT-girls in their leisure time, while
fashion-blogger Natalie-Off-Duty reinterprets PENNYBLACK in a
bohemian-rock style.
