MCM launched a brand new modern Boston M collection features the multi-dimensional geometric shape inspired by the frame of MCM
classic trunk. Reflecting the modern lifestyle of the pinnacle of travel age,
the collection symbolizes a lot of meanings. For more flexibly mix-and-match
fashion, the bag can be transformed into a shoulder bag by attaching a strap.
Handcrafted with pristine skins such as sand fox and calf
leather, the Boston M provides sizes ranging from large to medium and to small.
Bright orange and sapphire blue signify boldness and confidence; classical
design never goes out of fashion but ensure practicality. Both classic and
casual, this collection is ready to take on the title as the new It-bag of MCM.
Appealing to every age the bag can be dressed up or down for casual day wear or
a night out.
MCM is the pioneer of modern lifestyle of
travel, also a recorder of images. To celebrate the launch of Boston M
collection, MCM has specially invited three up-and-coming photographers from
London, New York and Hong Kong to record the lifestyles of ladies in the three
metropolitan areas through their cameras. During the captures, Boston M
collection is found deep rooted in MCM DNA travel story.
In New York, the pictures
taken by American photographer Ben Pier are clear and bright, rich in content,
leaving readers impressive memories. In an afternoon during midsummer, a Plymouth Valiant of 1960s parks at the
riverside of Brooklyn. The white body of the car and orange Boston M bring a
feeling of vacation at sunshine coast and a break for carefree travelers who
collect ideas into their handbags and go ahead to pursue their dreams. Williamsburg is a neighborhood of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. In
a private room with a large French window, Boston M lays on the beige sofa
against with the view of the East River and Manhattan skyline. The bag, made of
delicate sand fox leather, delivers a tranquil moment under the sun. With its
geometric shape, the bag is like a piece of splendid artwork.
In London, the British-based Chinese photographer Wang We focuses on photo shoot on portraits, objects at rest and architecture. He is awarded with Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. Enjoying an afternoon at London art gallery Tate Modern and being engrossed in contemporary arts, the master of Boston M is having a leisure British tea on the balcony overlooking the Baroque architecture of St Paul’s Cathedral across the River Thames. Located in Buckinghamshire, Stoke Place is 30-min away by car from London City. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of city, the master is enjoying the tranquil afternoon with her Boston M and poems of William Butler Yeats in the royal garden.
Born and
raised in Hong Kong, Olivia Tsang’s pictures are rich in metropolitan sense. In
her eyes, Hong Kong is like Hollywood in the East and every place is like a
movie scene. Star Ferry, as a famous transport mean on Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong,
carries passengers between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula.
Travelling between the two places is like setting off a century-long journey.
Every day and night, Boston M is with the master who recalls the nostalgia of travel amid the city. Photographer uses digital camera to magnify Boston M which stands against the backdrop of bright-colored light boxes in the heart of Yau Ma Tei. The pictures tells the story of a big city which fascinated with the study of tradition and expectation of prosperity.
