Les Miserables @ The Motion Picture Soundtrack

The success of the stage musical had built a very strong and powerful image especially to many theater fans before it made it to the giant screen by acclaimed film director Tom Hooper. The movie is indeed a real triumphant but is the film's soundtrack actually listenable as a stand-alone album?   Many may have raved about Anne Hathaway's one-take rendition's of < I Dreamed a Dream>.  With Hooper's dubbed "highlights from the Motion Picture" ruined the movie's soundtrack? You don't have to be watching anguished close-up of the actors' faces to get a heavy and deep emotion to sing like this. In fact, the <Master of the House> by Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter was rather a cheerful bit with a great performance together. We enjoy that better. Many had commented about Russell Crowe's singing ability but he was quite competent in the movie. The original London casts and original Broadway recording of the show are a must-have for theater lovers, for once actors and cast in the film singing in live recording was rather another huge challenge for them to make perfect and yet good enough to satisfied many who enjoy the film as much as the encore re-run listening from this musical phenomenon soundtrack.
