The fabulously British lifestyle brand Jack Wills introduced the new Winter Seasonnaires collection starting the year of 2013. Encapsulating the
lifestyle of the Jack Wills Seasonnaires, living in the mountains for the Ski
season, the collection epitomises the party atmosphere of the young and free. Underpinned by the
brand’s signature British Preppy Heritage influences, the collection
ushers in the new season with an introduction of bright and bold colours and
patterns throughout. Tailoring and silhouette takes inspiration from the
1950’s, looking at the work of distinguished British artists such as David
Hockney, Robert Tavener and Sir Terry Frost, and the way that their work
embodies the positivity of a pioneering period of change.
The Ladies range features
a new defined silhouette through the use of dropped shoulders, shrunken sleeves
and darted tailoring, as showcased by the Aldcliffe jumper. With golden
ochres and chili red colours combined in to playful patterns, this jumper is
the perfect piece to layer up for the National Holidays when paired with a simple
fitted-bodice dress such as the Porchfield Dress teamed with a heritage
style leather bag. The Wyndham Bag inspired by the 1950s era twins practicality with design and features
bright pops of colour in Bluebell and Brilliant Pink. Hence, bright colours are the seaon's must have.
Jack Wills continue their long-running collaboration with iconic British manufacturer, Fox
Brothers to produce the Darrock Suit in Navy and White Chalk Stripe and the Dozmere Suit in Grey Flannel. Both suits are designed and woven in Britain, and are a
part of the expanding range of designs produced in the United Kingdom.
The heritage sportswear-inspired dressing looks to British military design for influence, with the Emmerson Jacket and Eastwold Jacket featuring raglan sleeves and taped seams, features inspired by traditional sailing jackets. Teamed with the Dovestone Shawl-Neck Crew and Nantucket Bag the look for Gentleman this Spring creates a casual preppy, yet modern style.
‘Made in Britain’ is not
a passing trend and Jack Wills is committed to designing and producing
sustainable, beautifully made products that breathe the authentic heart and
soul of the brand’s British roots. In the Bath and Beauty range all Jack Wills
fragrances, including the recently launched Hope Cove for Ladies and Start Bay for Gentlemen, are sourced and bottled in Devon in
the United Kingdom.
