Chevignon, the adored '80s brand, and French artistic director
Milan Vukmirovic, a child of this generation, have collaborated for the second
consecutive season on the Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic line. This
capsule collection reinterprets the label's values and iconic pieces, which
have been inspired by the American Dream since the brand was founded in 1979.
Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic is designed for those who wore Chevignon distressed leather bomber jackets and Togs Unlimited puffa jackets in their younger years. Life has not affected their strong attachment to this cult label, and the idea is to appeal to them once again with contemporary styles evoking their fabulous past.
With this summer collection, Milan Vukmirovic aims to revive the preppy style seen on American campuses in the '50s and the sport-chic baseball style. The collection takes graphic inspiration from the photographic world of the film Drive, with its Californian lighting and the flamboyant bodywork of magnificent American cars, which enhances the line's sporty and elegant look. The collection will be priced slightly higher than traditional Chevignon collections as particular attention has been paid to the choice of materials and the quality of manufacturing.
Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic was unveiled in June at the Musée de la Chasse in Paris, and accompanied by an advertising campaign shot by the multi-talented artistic director. Set to be sold in Chevignon stores, as well as in select international concept and department stores, Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic will be the focus of window displays and special areas dedicated to the collection.
