Some viewers resembled <Chasing Mavericks> to Luc Besson's free-diving epic <The big Blue> and Kathryn Bigelow 1991's <Point Break> with deadly obsession to fuel their respective story line. The picturesque cinematography is somehow integrated the reality with transcendental awe captured some great heart-pounding surfing scenes and gives a board's eye-view of the terrifying magnificence of the furious ocean.
