PRADA opens a new store in Miami, Florida, in the prestigious Design District. The store, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, has a total surface of 360 square metres on one level and offers the women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections. The bright façade, enhanced by the reflections of particular transparent perspex panels, develops behind the large glass window which defines the building’s architecture.
The store features light carpeted floors and round cornered rooms, with walls covered by the classic pale green curtain, within which there are display niches framed in polished steel. Located near the entrance, the footwear area is highlighted by precious round crystal tables, while the area dedicated to accessories, eyewear and small leather goods is furnished with crystal and steel counters with coloured displays.
The ready-to-wear area houses a display system of light, transparent panels, sided with special shaped tables. The furnishing is completed by supple green velvet “Clover Leaf” sofas, designed by Verner Panton and exclusively reproduced for Prada.

“This store opening strengthens Prada Group’s presence in North America”, commented Stefano Cantino, Prada Group Communications and External Relations Director. “With the Miami boutique Prada now has a total of 33 stores in the United States, consolidating the Group’s development strategy which foresees the opening of approximately 80 directly operated stores per year in all key markets”.
This is a great post; it was very edifying. I look ahead in reading more of your work.
