PAULE KA SS2013 marked by graphic design and duality, by contrasts and femininity: this is
Serge Cajfinger’s vision for this season. Dichotomy of colors, firstly, since black and
white provide the tempo for this new fashion score, accelerated on certain
pieces by the added depth of garnet red. Play of lines and materials, next, since the perfectly fit architectural
cuts renew the DNA of the sixties, of a Jackie Onassis taking flight. The lightness of the
cotton piqué and falling of the duchess satin merge when the cloqué organza and
lace-like guipure add a touch of the ethereal to the silhouette. The ostrich feathers are equally invited into
a collection where the garments transform themselves, the outerwear and details
of lingerie playing as much with the references of day as with the glamour of
night.
The exclusivity is also to be celebrated. An exceptional host, the artist Julien Colombier has bestowed upon four unique pieces, including a coat and flared skirt, the liveliness of color, the density of pastel, and the dynamism of his brushstroke. These two pieces, evoking just as much the legendary allure of Grace Kelly as the pleasure of sauntering through a gallery of contemporary art, are released in limited edition. Between French chic and the American escapade, the accessories sound in unison. Smoked, citrine, or aquamarine, plexiglass and rhinestones combine so as to evolve into necklaces and earrings, without forgetting to dress the heels with tinted transparency. Finally, this very Parisian silhouette knowingly punctuates itself with a small hat, crowned with a loop of silver leather, and announcing already the beautiful days of summer.
