GIORGIO ARMANI SS2013 Kaleidoscope make-up look by Linda Cantello observed through a kaleidoscope that separates, refracts, and illuminates. Subtle yet profound alterations create soft, naturally deconstructed fits, rendered fluid through the use of gossamer silk and organza. Black, turquoise and grey are the main colors, accompanied by jade and light blue softened with white, brightened also in daywear by transparent yarns, crystal touches, and reflections. The sparkle is accentuated for the evening, with a constellation of stars on a navy background. Lightness is key, with an added touch of nonchalance.
Inspired by the color palette and graphism of the show. Cantello imagined a soft grey eye with a contrasting acqua accent with very neutral lips and face, executed with a subtle layering of colors and textures. "Mr. Armani shows me the shapes and colors - I immediately envision the make-up look. He often loves graphic shapes, but this time we rendered the look sexy, with a soft matte grey eye, and a touch of light turquoise blue liner. Fake lashes soften the graphic shape and adds sensuality". Skin is prepared and moisturized with the new Crema Nera Extrema and Crema Nera eye compact, then perfected with Maestro fusion make-up, giving a luminous matte, cool finish. Maestro Eraser is smoothed on under the eyes and around the nose giving the last touch to a unified skin.
The face is finally lightly dusted with Luminous Silk Powder #2. Skin is matte, no highlights. The grey eyeshadow from Eyes to Kill Palette #1 is applied all over the eye with a rectangular geometric shape in the inside corner of the eye, blended to the outer corner in a triangular shape. The blue eyeshadow from Spring Collection 2013, Palette #1, is mixed with water. A thick line is drawn on the eye lid, close to the lashes. Then a thin line of Mastro Eyeliner #1 (black) is drawn very close to the lash line. To finish, Eyes to Kill Lash Stretching Mascara #1 (black) is generously applied. Lips are natural with the Rouge d'Armani Sheers from the SS2013 Collection.
