Chef Umberto Bombana first on his agenda after receiving three stars by the “2013 Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau” for his restaurant 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana recently was to demonstrate his acclaimed culinary skills to his daughter’s classmates.
At a time for joy and cheer, and in between the interviews and greetings, Chef Bombana brought his white truffles to the school and enjoyed a day of risotto-making with his seven-year-old daughter and her classmates. To the chef who upholds his traditional Italian family values, it appears that getting dough on his hands with his little girl was as much a celebration as a champagne-popping party.
