Katie Grand loves HOGAN, the LOVE Magazine editor in chief and stylist collaborated with HOGAN SS2013 special collection. The capsule collection called GANG which comprises of three styles of trainers, a high-top, a low and a wedge, a ballerina, leather purses in two sizes and oval sunglasses.
The Olympia, the attractive and the H194 are existing HOGAN style that Grand selected from the archives which she redesigned in new combinations of calfskin and suede. "A lot of people seem to think that wedge trainer is a new idea but the attractive has been in the HOGAN archive for years." Says Grand.
Grand has put her skills as an editor to use on this project, accompanying the collection is a magazine. The one-off publication featuring a shoot with 14 of the stylist's favorite models of the moment modelling the collection. They are Alessandra Ambrosio, Maria Bradley, Linda Evangelista, Dree Hemingway and etc.
The colors featured in the collection are boldly graphic: White, Black, Pink and deep bright shades of yellow, green and blue which often developed in contrasting combinations. The leather hearts that emblazon the styles are a visual reference <TO LOVE>, Grand's biannual magazine.
