GEOX opened its first Hong Kong flagship boutique store in Central Hong Kong recently among 13 existing standalone stores.The160-square-meter
boutique is designed to bring the brand’s elements of style, innovation and
comfort to life. The spacious and luminous environment features a clean and
modern layout and also showcasing the FW2012 collections. White and brown textured wood are the shop's main colours while backlit shelves and racks serve as focal points. The shop will carry the full range of
Geox lines, including men’s, women’s and children’s footwear and apparel.
Geox was founded in 1995 by Mario
Moretti Polegato whose vision of creating a better footwear experience came to
life when he invented the first-of-its-kind breathable soles. Confident in both
its strength and brand value, Geox continues to focus on developing the
ground-breaking technology that turned the brand into a market leader in
innovation and contemporary design with more than 50 patents to-date.
And now thanks to the support of Patrick Cox, award-winning footwear and accessories designer, the brand will continue its efforts to offer footwear and apparel options that fuse stylish design with innovation to satisfy consumers’ needs to feel modern yet still comfortable.
“Our growth in Hong Kong is an important milestone for Geox’s global expansion plans. Through our single-brand channel strategy, we will strength the Geox brand and its distribution in these markets,” said Mario Moretti Polegato, Geox Founder and President. “The Central flagship store is just the beginning of Geox’s growing presence in Hong Kong. We are planning to expand to 20 stores in noteworthy locations across the city within the next year.”
“I am delighted to have the chance to work with Geox on a regular basis because I really appreciate the fact that it makes Italy’s rich shoemaking heritage, as well as contemporary design, available to mainstream consumers. My inspiration for Geox’s upcoming style collections will be inspired by the modern woman and man who is independent, confident with her femininity or his masculinity,
and knows what she or he wants – at home, at work, and during leisure time,”
said Patrick Cox.
Geox’s new emphasis on style has led
to a number of special footwear designs that appear in this season’s women’s
and men’s FW collections and will be available in
the new Hong Kong flagship store.
