PENNYBLACK FW2012/13 is all about different
styles and the inspiration comes from music. Optical patterns recall the world of
Mods; check shirt with jeans are very “country-like” and eco-leather pants or a biker jacket
are just right for a rock festival. For the night, from polyphonic concert to clubbing, the dress code is: all black. The tuxedo
gets revamped and becomes an hyper-chic mini-dress, the little
black dress is more body-con and the jumpsuit is sensual-glam.
Prints are back and recall the Seventies tapestry patterns, tartan experiments vivid hues and stripes go either black & white or multicolor, mostly on knitwear. The colors of the season are several. Blue is strong on navy coats, red gives new life to a classic preppy garment, the duffle coat, and last but not least, yellow, orange and green to lighten up all the mini coats.
A scuba hooded sweatshirt is the new must-have detail for the Puzzle Parka. PENNYBLACK’s most versatile and transformable outwear apparel is getting more urban cool by choosing charcoal as color and fluorescent orange as pop add on.The sixth issue of PENNYBLACK’s Magazine, MAGALOG, is ready and adds new contributors. The young London-based photographer Ben Toms is the new author of the advertising campaign and he created in each frame imaginary record covers.
