LONGINES in Saint-Imier @ A Multi-sensory Journey Into Watchmaking Tradition Exhibition

  Founded in Saint-Imier in 1832, Longines, the Swiss watchmaker known for its watchmaking expertise and winged hourglass emblem, presents the "Longines in Saint-Imier: A Multi-sensory Journey into Watchmaking Tradition" Exhibition to pay tribute to its origin and celebrate its 180th anniversary. Aaron Kwok, Longines Ambassador of Elegance, and Ms. Karen Au Yeung, Vice-President of Longines Hong Kong, jointly inaugurated the journey of discovery at this jubilant moment.
The exhibition transports visitors to Saint-Imier, the town where the story of Longinesbegan, through images, textsand soundsto witness the development of Longines’ watchmaking know-how and the masterly craftsmanship that has been forged in the local workshop for nearly two centuries. Among the 20 exceptional timepieces showcased, 12 antique models have first time travelled from the Longines Museumin Saint-Imier to Hong Kong.Other special editions of the contemporary models and the new Longines Saint-Imier Collection are also featured, presenting the watchmaker’s 180 years of horological expertise and tradition.
  
At the opening ceremony, Karen and Aaron loweredthe blue curtain to officiallyunveil the exhibition. Longines also presented Aaron, who will celebrate his birthday on 26 October, withthe Longines Column-Wheel Single Push-Piece Chronograph 180th Anniversary Limited Edition in rose gold (value $84,500) as a birthday surprise. Engraved with a seriall number on its back and placed in a special gift box inspired by the figure “180”, this exclusivemodel is available in 180 pieces worldwide only to commemorate the 180th anniversary of Longines.
