CARRERA 6000 @ JUMP INTO THE SUN Party

Carrera held an international preview of the new Carrera 6000 sunglasses produced by Safilo Group an the Superstudio Più roof terrace in Milan, was the perfect atmospheric location for the exclusive performance event, which was celebrated with the brand’s international friends: from the actress Daniela Virgilio, the art curator Paola Manfrin, the DJ Marisa Passera, the businessman Stefano Seletti, the socialite Virginia Galateri to the Italian and international directors such as Michele Lupi from Rolling Stone magazine and Federico Sarica from Studio magazine.

The star of the show is the Carrera Dome: the 150 square metre structure stands 7 metres tall, and is illuminated by an extraordinary light display representing the Sunrise. The structure will be open to the public for the entire period of the Milan's International Design Fair. The soundtrack of the event was created by 'Sigmatibet', the electro band born in the 80’s, and representing a milestone of the Italian techno music scene.

The temperature of the sun’s photosphere marks the birth of Carrera 6000. This model features a vintage feel square shape, for an iconic, timeless style. The brand’s stylistic heritage is reinterpreted to convey a contemporary feel, with a few new creative touches, such as the wavy temples, destined to become a distinctive signature detail. The exclusive ultra-lightweight, hypoallergenic material – Optyl, a Safilo registered trademark – features a soft-touch effect and is designed not to deform, even at high temperatures.The CARRERA 6000 model is available in 14 different colours, highlighted by gloss/matte colour contrasts, vertical stripes in the sports style-inspired versions or camouflage tones.
