MAX&Co.
unveiled its new boutique at Hysan Place by showcasing its latest
ultra-feminine Pastel Collection in a space filled with soft, mellow tones
ranging from aquamarine, pale yellow and beige to lavender. A grand flourish of pastel-coloured balloons rising into the
air to hail the dawn of what hopes to be a successful future for the new store.
This vivid, colourful event certainly set the tone for the brand to continue to
offer innovative and feminine style in the time to come.
A fashion show was presented showcasing the latest Pastel Collection with a sweet playfulness, a theme that certainly runs through the delicately feminine designs of the series. The collection draws its inspiration from the 60s, skilfully achieving a balance between formal elegance and a bold, daring style.
The distinctive stylistic elements of the period are revived and given a fresh look with a delightfully contemporary flair. Amongst the collection, an overcoat features a bow fastened at the neckline that beautifully frames the face while short skirts are embellished with asymmetrical flounces that playfully flutter about the legs. Hips are swathed with fabric to accentuate the silhouette of the body in a flattering, yet subtle manner while chromatic combinations, even the most bold, are toned down, soothing and delicate.
