The Birra Menabrea brewery is run by Franco Thedy the fifth generation descendent of the original founders who, to this day, still make use of clear Alpine water in the production of its beers. Menabrea is brewed using a natural 'slow fermentation' process. The beer is then matured underground for a further month in cellars that were hewn out of the rock beneath the brewery when it was established in 1846. The heritage of this fine beer is without question and the quality of Menabrea has consistently been of the highest standard.
