Frankenweenie

TIM BURTON is a undoubted a genius!! This creative heartwarming film <Frankenweenie> genuinely a truthful tribute to the Frankenstein and the movie making style in the 30s. This stop-motion animated remake of his own 1984 short took was filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D which elevated the classic style to a whole new experience. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life-with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous. We see the human's world through the dog's eyes since we did with the dead in <Corpse Bride>, it is truly a lovingly crafted visuals and a heartfelt, oddball story. This film is rich yet uncluttered and wonderfully evocative of the classic monster films. It is inventive and endearing, one of the best Burton's ever. Welcome back Mr. Burton!
