CC Kuo London @ SS2013 Collection Hong Kong Preview

CC KUO London has chosen Hong Kong to be the place where it first revealed its SS2013 Collection with the topic of "Composition". The new collection re-performs the classic back-to-school style as if looking through the vivid world of a moving kaleidoscope. KUO discovers the enchantment of memory, a distant reminiscence captured in prints, KUO went down memory lane and found her inspiration from her childhood school days.
Structured details taken from uniforms and sportswear, element such as elastics and pleats are off-set by complex snippets taken from an old painting. Silk blazers, floor skimming dresses, pencil skirt, oversize shirt, printed pants suit, and shorts in soft leather. Hints of minimalism! The linear and delicate shapes accentuated the abstract prints almost as if the garment is a blank canvas and prints are splashed across.

 

The collection is muted in subtle navy, black and cream with dashes of popping pinks, deep purple, citrus orange and shades of green, which are, transform into perfectly symmetrical random mass as if looking through a moving kaleidoscope. Like childhood memory ever so sweet and vividly in front of the eyes. The collection consists of three main categories -digital prints, knitwear and tailoring. The signature uses of sumptuous, luxurious materials including silk, organza, soft leather and jersey juxtaposes in harmony with simple silhouette ensuring that the collection is perfectly modern.
