Balenciaga opened its biggest store in Elements Mall Hong Kong and held a party recently.The new store features the full women’s collections created by Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga and is the first store in Hong Kong to carry the men’s collections. Every Balenciaga store around the world draws upon the central concept of an artificial landscape echoing with the geometric, graphic feeling of the collections. Each store is however differentiated, as each concept is adapted to a specific space and environment.
This 200 sqm² new store conceived by Nicolas Ghesquière in collaboration with the French artist Dominique Gonzales Foerster, and customized particularly in the layout and the specific choice of colours and materials. Behind the spectacular 2 storey glass windows is blinded with a metallic wall with holes shaped as Chinese shells.
The store features elements inspired by the strong and influential local culture, colours are bright and peaceful. Materials are noble such as marbles, sourced in China, and silver leaf. The accessories display furniture and the flooring are directly inspired by the Balenciaga Paris historical boutique located on Avenue George V in France.
