PRADA opend a store in JK Iguatemi mall in Sao Paulo, Brazil recently. The new space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, covers an area of approximately 630 square meters on a single floor and it is dedicated to both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections as well as shoes, bags, leather goods and accessories. The elegant façade is dressed in precious black marble with a rhythmic alternation of the two doorways, of windows and light boxes embellished with polished steel profiles.
The store interior develops into various polygonal rooms where the distinctive architectural elements of the Prada brand worldwide dominate: walls in pastel green linen fabric and chequered black and white veined marble floors alternated with beige carpet. In the area dedicated to the women’s collections, the wide mirrored and soft saffiano cera leather surfaces lend the whole space an atmosphere of extreme elegance. Alongside the precious display elements in glass and polished steel, green velvet “Clover Leaf” sofas, designed by Verner Panton and exclusively reproduced for Prada, enrich the furniture.
The space for men’s collections, instead, is characterized by furniture in rosewood and details in polished steel, castorino-coloured velvet sofas and display elements in glass and black saffiano leather surfaces.
