Pacific Place opened The Beauty Galley after months of renovation with a new destination for customers seeking an unparalleled beauty shopping experience. "Following on from the completion of the interior renovation last year, we are delighted to announce the arrival of The Beauty Gallery. The Beauty Gallery, designed to offer shoppers an exclusive environment in which to discover the skincare and cosmetic products from some of the world’s most renowned brands, will be a great compliment to the existing retail mix of tenants." Said Mr Christopher Heywood, Senior Portfolio Manager of Swire Properties.
Designed by internationally renowned architect Thomas Heatherwick, the mastermind behind the transformation of Pacific Place, The Beauty Gallery is designed with a contemporary take on London’s impressive Burlington Arcade. Heatherwick has captured the arcade’s essence of Victorian opulence, yet created a contemporary shopping space that oozes luxury: reinterpreting the 19th century glazed bay windows and decorative woodwork with a floating ribbon of clear curved glass designed to give a distinctive, fresh identity to the Gallery.
Unique materials have been selected for The Beauty Gallery to create a warm and welcoming ambience: Rocheret Bayadaire stone floor from France are is specially trimmed for the floor with curved skirtings and the structurally glazed, low-iron, curved glass shopfronts form the bay windows down the arcade also brings a fluidity touch to Pacific Place.
Part of the sophisticated reawakening of Pacific Place, the fluid, natural design of The Beauty Gallery creates a serene backdrop against which Hong Kong’s elite can shop and be inspired by all things skin. The Beauty Gallery houses nine preeminent beauty brands in a unique setting, giving visitors the precious luxury of being lost in beauty.
