Bally has proudly paid homage to its brand icons and celebrated the brand’s 160 years past through key influential products that today represent an undisputed stylistic heritage and which continue to inspire Bally’s modern creative spirit recently.“It’s from these sources that we are what we are today. Bally has a very rich heritage which gives the brand its distinctive traits. The men's SS2013 collection will be presented as usual during Milan Fashion Week, however we wanted to dedicate a moment to our stylistic heritage. We chose the frame of Florence, both for its centuries old ties with craftsmanship an area renowned for its leather craftsmanship history and because it also the home of one of our three leather goods production centers. It’s here in Florence that our skins are moulded and shaped" This is how Bally’s Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler explain their inspiration behind this visionary event to be held on June 19, 2012 in Florence at PT Studio.
The exhibition featured products that form an integral part of Bally’s heritage and style ethos, and continue to convey the brand’s contemporary design values. Scribe, Trainspotting, Zurich, Curling and Hiking have become true Bally icons, taking on new characteristics season after season without ever losing their inherent significance: to define the brand, its origins and values. The stylistis elements of this imporatnt and distintive past become the real protagonists of this retropective journey, created to showcase the brand's stylistic evolution.
