Max Mara opens its Hong Kong largest flagship store in St. Georges Building at the junction between Ice House Street and Chater Road. Designed by acclaimed architect Duccio Grassi Architects, this 2-level, 450 square meters, contemporary artistic space is, it will stand in the heart of the most prestigious shopping district of Central amongst other recognized luxury names in the world.
The new store has integrated the elements of technology with the simplicity of nature; it is an innovative, thoroughly modern, elegant retail environment that reflects the brand’s commitment to aesthetics, creativity and craftsmanship. Max Mara’s use of LED screens can be seen outside at the two shop windows and inside along the stairs. With this setup, the screens will serve as an effective guiding post to lead the customers throughout the first level and the basement to ensure a natural flow through this prime property.
The flagship store fully reflects Max Mara’s unique Italian design concept, evoking the architectural glamour of the House’s iconic boutique whilst showing the novelties in terms of materials and architectural choices, such as mixing cold materials –stone and metal – with natural ligneous furniture. The flooring, walls and ceiling of the store space are clad with ashed oak wood which not only reflect the nature design concept, but also echo the sensibility of Max Mara, which combines to convey the impression of a kind of ancient fossil forest that is attention captivating.
Amidst the gentle harmonious white, ivory, pale rose colour- schemed open space interior, Max Mara presents its garment glory by showcasing the latest collection of leather goods, footwear, accessories, a range of ready-to-wear and masterpieces from the limited collection.
