HUGO BOSS hosted an event in Beijing by presenting the BOSS Black FW2012 Collection for women and men in an impactful fashion show at the city's National Agricultural Exhibition Center. The building was constructed in 1959 and was one of 10 major building ensembles created in Beijing shortly after the People’s Republic of China was proclaimed. One of the façades inspired by classical Chinese culture – housed the 1,170-foot runway.
"Modern Luxury" ~ being headlines the featured BOSS Black Collection, designers Eyan Allen and Kevin Lobo showed both monochrome looks and rich color stories. The collection radiates a new mode of elegance that is based on urban design. The new takes on classic pieces, enhanced by unique detailing, lend the BOSS Black looks their signature style. For BOSS Selection, designer Kevin Lobo presented his definition of authentic modern luxury.
Guests were then escorted to a cocktail reception in the rear gardens which – in traditional Chinese style – are fringed by a gracefully curved lake. An adjacent building then venued an exquisite dinner featuring modern and traditional Chinese cuisine. Entertainment was provided by the Berlin Capital Dance Orchestra. DJ Michel Gaubert spun the tables at the after-party.The event was flanked by an international online and social media campaign that climaxed with a true premiere: the first 3D live stream of a fashion show. "The Beijing fashion show undoubtedly ranks among the year's top highlights for HUGO BOSS and represents a milestone in the company's success on the Chinese and Asian markets," said Philipp Wolff, Senior Vice President Communication at HUGO BOSS.
