Max Mara SS2012 sunglasses and optical frames fascinate with a perfect harmony between classic elegance and contemporary features. The unmistakable and iconic elements, such as the stitching and luminous details celebrate the 60th anniversary of the label. The new sunglasses are inspired by divas of yesteryear and even bear their names, from Rita and Liza to Kim. The everlasting style of unforgotten actresses lives on in the timeless charm of the new eyewear proposals, with classic shapes embellished by sophisticated touches.
The MM KIM I sunglass is a tribute to the 60th anniversary of Max Mara. The model celebrates the themes and colours traditionally associated with the maison and refreshes them with a dash of modern glamour. The model, in acetate, is decorated on the temples with the classic metal monogram, enclosed between two rows of carré rhinestones alongside the logo detail. The model is finished in strong colours, such as havana red, brown horn, havana/crystal, black horn, aubergine. Vintage shape and contemporary materials: the “M” monogram, produced in Plexiglas, adorns the multi-layered acetate sunglasses. This detail of light enhances their glamorous femininity. The accentuated lines of the oversized hexagonal front are offered in refined combinations of red, green horn, nude, black-crystal and brown (MM RITA II).
The three-dimensional volumes characterise MM LIZA I, the new injection-moulded cat's eye sunglasses with faceted rims. The temples are embellished with the metal “M” monogram and the iconic stitching that is a hallmark of the label's famous creations. The tones are luminous and translucent, with metallic effects, such as violet, grey, flesh pink, brown and crystal/black. Retro in spirit but modern in shape, the metal sunglasses sport a novel brushed effect on the flat surface of the temples and front. The “M” monogram on the temples is visible against warm shades, such as matte gold, semi-polished gold and brown (MM BRIGITTE).
The curvaceous volumes of the new optical frames allude to a classic style given a modern makeover. The butterfly silhouette of the acetate model is emphasised by the faceting on the surfaces and decorated by the metal “M” logo. This model is available in elegant colours, such as blue, raspberry and animal-printhavana (MM 1133). The optical frame produced in multi-layered acetate features elegant colour combinations in tones of brown/nude, havana, black/horn and fuchsia/violet. It is embellished by sophisticated details such as the engraved metal “M” monogram and framed by two rows of rhinestones alongside the metal logo (MM 1135).
