PRADA signed an agreement with the Federazione Italiana Vela (the Italian Sailing Federation) to sponsor the Italian national sailing team at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The agreement includes the supply of the athletes’ uniforms. The Prada brand will appear on the uniforms worn by the athletes and technical staff of the Olympic sailing team, and it will also be displayed on the hulls and sails of all competing boats and of all team support vessels, in all the regattas of the 2012 season. Prada has developed specific know-how in technical racing apparel, which is the outcome of extensive, in-depth research on materials, manufacturing techniques and fittings, conducted on the field under stressfull conditions and for prolonged periods of time: an exclusive, unique test-bench that allowed to combine Prada’s unmistakable style with top-notch technical quality and continuous product innovation.
