LEONARD SS2012 is fresh, contemporary and deliciously exuberant, this season’s collection will conjure up dreams of travel…Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean: inspiration for each piece and a wardrobe for every destination.Mix & match items blend a range of fabrics and soft colours with cosy silk-trimmed tops and skirts made from printed velvet. Open cotton fishnet tee-shirts and bathsuits cover-ups offer a daringly transparent sea look. Flowery A-line skirts and structured jackets come in a delicate lace and a rick silk taffeta sparkling with hints of gold glitter. 

 

Polo necks and sleeves inspired by sailors’ striped jerseys bring a fresh touch to short and midi dresses, while stripes and white lacquered studs enhance the season’s light and airy jumpsuits.The simpler lines of shirtdresses or high-necked fitted dresses made of silk crepon or jersey are brought to life by shades of azure and aquatic turquoise: a whole palette of blues against a black backdrop.  The same colours are seen in velvet sailor overcoats and charmingly retro high-waisted bikini bottoms. A colourful and eccentric print brings all the colours of the tropics to a dazzling oversized silk taffeta trench coat, a full-length dress trimmed with metal eyelets and black raffia and a strapless silk muslin jumpsuit enhanced with multicoloured bands of sequins.
