Neither there were any surprises nor disappointment. We found this sequel lacking of some essence and spirit that the previous one once carried. We admired and amazed by the hard work and researched that the entire team had contributed to the film, it is still very commercial instead of making it a very Hollywood-Chinese way of made-to-believe adventure by losing the real Hollywood charm. There weren't too many big laughter even the entire theater hall was 95% full, including a few kids accompanied by parents. If Jack Black's VO can't make much laughter from the audience, you can imagine how bad other's VO could be, especially the Chinese VO catering for their "preferred" market. That says it all! Perhaps the Kung Fu Panda 3 may make it to 4D to gain more interest for their not so die-hard fans, some others would like it.
