This season, Hermes teamed up with Parisian Graffiti artist Cyril "Kongo" Phan aka Kongo has gone from concrete to fabric by viewing this carre as he would a wall, with the same talent, boldness and vitality, a gush of lettering, a graphic explosion, a ferment of colour with Hermes, just like the rest of the world, is in perpetual motion.
Being the "Citizen of the world" and also the co-founder of the International Graffiti Festival, he invites artiest from all countries to come and paint on the walls of Bagnolet in the Paris suburbs. These communal, cosmopolitan, vigorous, lively works are evidence of the strength and diversity of urban cultures. From the New York subway to the walls of Paris and now here in Hong Kong, the message-bearing street art has eventually earned its pedigree.
