Emporio Armani presents a Summer 2011 collection of metropolitan inspiration, asphalt jungle, keen vivacious geometry and an expression of futuristic design that rewrites the tie between shape and function. These sunglasses feature a drop-shaped silhouette with an ultra-slim profile and thin, flexible temples that when viewed close up reveal a thick maze of steel wires. The virtuosity of the design translates into a futuristic model emphasized by the colours of the frames, such as black/ruthenium, octane, briar and orange.
An urban inspiration is reworked in an industrial way where the sunglasses are compressed into a precise and graphic silhouette as seen in a technical drawing. They are produced in thin concentric metal wires reminiscent of a circuit board or a computer chip. The colours play up to the mechanical look of the model with optical white with shaded grey lenses and asphalt grey with dark grey lenses.
