You may have seen a lot of different dogs in your life, but you haven't seen these......Australian born Hong Kong based artist Phil Hayes' 12th solo exhibition featured his 101 faithful dogs together with some guest artists from around the globe. Each of the 101 dogs is different and unique, there is no second. The dog has featured in his work for about 20 years since he became an artist that inspired him from a sketch of a "not so pretty" childhood experience, but now for sure everything turns out just right. It then began to appear as part of a series of social commentary works on Australian suburbia in the 80's. Over the years it has become his icon and personal trademark.
