Jonathan Thomson's new exhibition <WHITE LINES> celebrate light as the source of sight and beauty in new media form.Thomson uses his preferred iconography - the human figure and clouds- too explore fundamental ideas about beauty. His work highlight the joys and sorrows of life and love.
This work references the laser guided targeting systems used in modern warfare and puts the viewer in the place of a shooter aiming at his target, it can also be read as a spirit emanating from the figure and bathing the viewer and everything around him in the ineffable ecstasy of a martyr's gift.
Exhibition ends May 2011.
